We specialize in one-on-one coaching, and do most of our work with high-potential, new and emerging leaders, as well as millennial leaders. We also work with seasoned leaders, all the way through the C-Suite. In addition, we are proud to successfully service leaders who may be facing challenges in the workplace related to diversity (race, culture, sexual orientation, disabilities, etc.).
Our Coaches have a vast range of specialities, commonly including: communication effectiveness (including style, influence, self-awareness, empathy), confidence balancing, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, problem solving, time management, transition, accountability, clarity and focus, cultural alignment, diversity, first time leaders, executive presence, and so much more.
All of our 1:1 coaching engagements are customizable, but typically range in length from 3 months to a year, with the average engagement lasting approximately 6 months. We offer packages by the number of sessions, and there are typically two sessions per month. We are always happy to work with your specific needs, but it’s helpful to keep in mind that significant development is usually achieved with a minimum of 12 sessions.
Assessments are important so that the coach, as well as the leader, have a firm understanding of what the development opportunities and coaching objectives truly are. We use a highly effective online-based 360-degree assessment-- done at the beginning and at the end of the engagement-- in which about 10 of the leader's stakeholders (mix of managers, peers and direct reports) answer questions about their views of the leader's style, strengths and areas for development.
Yes. The vast majority of our coaches are skilled in or certified in an array of different kinds of assessments. If you are looking for a specific assessment (other than a 360) to be performed, just let us know so we can search for coaches with that specific certification.
Yes, each coaching engagement includes a customized Development Plan, which consists of key objectives and an action plan, and are based on the findings from the assessment(s) that were performed. The Plan is written by the Leader, guided by the Coach, and approved by the Manager to ensure alignment.
You can consider Pear to be your company's professional development partner that manages the engagement from beginning to end. We will also be in very regular contact with the coach, ensuring smooth operation. You will receive frequent high-level updates and have the option to request check-in calls for feedback from all key stakeholders at your discretion.
